Georgia Byrd is a department store employee who leads a life of frustrated desires. She particularly likes the bashful salesman from the outdoor furnishings department. But when she learns she only has a few weeks left to live, Georgia gathers her money, quits her job, and flies to the swank European resort she's always dreamed of visiting. Naturally, her new carelessness with money and fearless candor lead everyone around her, including a senator and her former boss, to think she's a real mover and shaker.

Queen Latifah is wonderful as Georgia, and I liked LL Cool J as her "crush". This is a feel good film without a lot of swearing or anything offensive. Timothy Hutton is "unlikable" in a great way in this movie and plays his role very well.

This is one of the rare movies in my life that I can (personally) watch over and over and over again - and not get tired of it. Our main character Georgia Byrd finds herself becoming an inspirational leader after being diagnosed with an incurable disease. As per usual in movies like this - her first instinct when she finds out about her illness - is to try to live all the things she had pushed aside for later. In doing this, she finds herself in another country - changing the way others view things for a short time.

Queen Latifah portrays a contagious type of joy in following your true passions, and the supporting cast is also great in keeping some straightforward comedy in this movie. I genuinely recommend this movie to anyone looking for just a fun, enjoyable, feel-good movie.

A warm, wild, and wonderful view. One of the best movies out there if you're looking for something that won't bring you down, isn't rude or inane, and has a whole lot of spunk. I highly reccomend this film, in fact, I'm going to watch it again this weekend becuase it's just so good at making me feel happy.
