Jonathan discovers another part of London, sealed off from the part where normal people live. This part of town is called Darkside, and it is populated with criminals, vampires, werewolves, and other monsters. Long ago, all the worst criminals were rounded up by the city and put in Darkside, which was ruled by Jack the Ripper, and is now ruled by his descendants. Tom finds out that his father’s mental illness, and coma-like states may have connections to Darkside. He is chased though London and Darkside by a bounty hunter and her two henchman, and enlists the help of a werewolf detective, Carnegie. Very well-written and interesting. I would recommend it.

I really enjoyed reading this book, even though its primary target audience are juvenile readers. Tom Becker's world of Darkside is compelling and creepy. If you enjoy this book, another one similar to this is Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere. It's geared to older readers and has the same atmosphere of another dark, creepy parallel world hidden within the normalcy of everyday.

Really Good, full of suspence and action. Tom becker can really write.
The beginnig is a little dull though.
