Book provides a simple, clear explanation of basic "common sense" metaphysics and shows how this framework demonstrates the existence of God. He begins with an explanation of the problems the pre-Socratics were trying to solve: the reality of change vs the reality of constancy. He explains how Aristotle solved these problems, how these views were recapitulated by Aquinas, and then finally how this metaphysical framework came to be undermined in the modern era, beginning with Descartes. He then shows how undermining this common-sense framework has actually led to the many supposedly unsolvable problems in modern philosophy, such as the question of the immateriality of the mind.

While the book is essentially a history lesson in philosophy and contains some very profound ideas, I found that it was very clear and very enjoyable. I think anyone with a passing interest in or aptitude for critical thought would be able to enjoy this book.

Wonderful book that dispels common atheist arguments.

Never has been nor ever will be proof that a flying sky fairy is watching over man's every movement. Why bother reading this book if you believe - just send all of your money to your preacher because he needs another house and a newer plane.
