I liked this remake. I thought it was well thought out and updated properly. It would make a great double feature with the "My Bloody Valentine" remake (if you are into the show "Supernatural" that is.

Skip It – Friday the 13th (2009) 97 min. Terrible, terrible, terrible film. What you get is a maniac chasing and killing over-sexed teens for an hour and a half. No suspense to think of and no story either. Jason seems a lot more mobile in this version and faster than dud of the 80s. The only redeeming aspect of this film is the score – a combination of the original eerie score and a charged up riff from the Terminator series. Overall – nothing new in this picture except for the revolving cast of victims. A question was asked of how many characters were killed in this edition of Friday the 13th – I responded: count the number of actors in credits and then minus Jason. Oh yes, the film comes with its own clichéd ending, which will inspire you to throw the disc against the wall but don’t do that because it’s owned by OPL. Warning: Extreme violence, nudity, and sexuality.
