Things really changed with MRI, robotic assisted surgery, better tools & new medicines. However, it was a good novel for its time.

While reading this story, it is best to keep in mind that it was written in 1966. The book starts off a bit confusing, but after the group of five humans enters a man's body to destroy a clot that will kill him, the story is exciting and quite adventurous. There are lots of obstacles for the crew to overcome and I was eager to discover how each one is dealt with. Reading this book was also a fun way to refresh my knowledge of anatomy and human physiology.

This is a great adventure book.

One of the classic stories of the Science Fiction genre by one of the best authors of his generation. A wonderful story of adventure in an unusual environment.
