I have not yet found anything whiney in his writing and as of yet he hasn't blamed any others. I have found his non academic writing style to be even more challenging than his academic historical writing. He does, however, spend too little time on the crops that actually made his farm some money. There had to have been some that actually grew, no? Still i appreciate his life as an agrarian in today's world and the outlook he has for family farming and for the future of our country.
Pretty selfish, whiny "poor me" book -- if one knows the details:
Obviously could have cared less if he had been a more successful farmer. And of course blames everyone else.
