Quill's dream about the demonic stuffed toy was funny as hell. He was one cute puppy! I teared up when he died. I did not know the Japanese adorned their deceased relatives with flowers. The only gross part of the film was when the dog pooped!

Another original film on a loyal dog as "Hachi: A Dog's Tale 1999" and "Hachikō Monogatari (ハチ公物語) 1987." A must see guide dog drama for dog lovers who are fortunate to have watched over their pet companion from birth or puppy to final breath. So, the few scenes of mistreatment to Quill (Qoo) in the movie did not sit well with me, and got me thinking: that's how some typical slaves had lived in the past and laborers who are tolling now in awful conditions for the wealthy from childhood to old age in underdeveloped countries. Anyway, a very good pet film that covered a lot of grounds for the lives of the Qoo and the people he was with.

This movie was so lovely and heart warming that it had me crying from start to finish. I love it! It's incredibly adorable and very poignant!

good story, a little on the slow side. I would have liked a 'how it was made' feature.

When I started the DVD, I was very surprised to find out that it was in Japanese with English subtitles. It was interesting to see how a seeing eye dog is selected and trained. However, if given the choice of borrowing this particular DVD again, I would probably leave it on the shelf.

How do I choose which one? They're all so smart.
-Try calling them.
Come. Good puppies.
-The ones that come right away are out. The right one is the one that... stops and looks as if to ask
"What's the fuss?'
When it's ready to leave its mother... the puppy is brought to us "puppy walkers." We're volunteers who raise puppies till their first birthday. Like foster parents.
Quill: Large stiff feather. Quill. Qoo! Qoo!
Their last walk together... was only 30 meters.
You got him an umbrella?
-He was wet.
He's my dog. Mind your own business! Stupid dog!
-That night, Quill ran away.
Voice bulletin. Sound map of the city. Let's walk down this quiet street. There's a nice scent in the air. Is it the scent of lilies? I can't tell. That was Quill sneezing. And yonder, we have... Kuwayama Shrine.
Quill's eyes were fixed on my father. He must have thought he was just asleep.
When you get to heaven, let them know you are... our Quill.
