Wings of Desire - Thought provoking.
Paris, Texas - Excellent collaboration between Wim Wenders and Harry Dean Stanton.
Everything Will Be Fine - ZZZZZZZZ - Fast forward - ZZZZZZ. Will this pick up? It's a Wim Wenders film! ZZZZZZZ. What a waste of time even with the fast forward.

every thing is not fine.
I'm a fan of Wenders but not Franco, though he was not too smirky in this role, but quite flat.
I found the performances quite stilted - the emotional connections of the characters seem to be just beyond their grasp. Gainsbourg and her son live in isolation both physical and emotional and his rescuer abandons him. the tidy ending doesn't reflect the psychological trauma displayed earlier in the film.
I liked the Canadian setting.... and the cinematography.
a disappointing effort from Wenders given his history of Paris, Texas, Wings of Desire and The American Friend among others.

I very much liked the story and the pace of the whole film. While not a truly great film, it's still quite underrated. However, James Franco looked like he was stoned in a few scenes (which he may well have been, but the scenes didn't call for that!) Taking into account most of Franco's films, I think his acting is overrated.

Very dull. The parts with Charlotte Gainsbourg are the best.

This movie is a blessing. The direction in this film is phenomenal & acting spot on for the most part. The 3D at first seemed weird but then it made sense. This film is really more at the pace of life. It takes actual time at moments to stay focused...but these days were all so distracted that seeing other people (even in a film) not check their phone every 5 minutes is rare. What really made the movie was how Franco's character finally stops being a douche and let's himself find his way through intimacy rather than keep avoiding it. Really great score too.

A huge overdrawn WASTE.

Kind of slow and moody. There are places were the characters have atypical reactions to events in my opinion.
