Detailed account of Hemingway's life, warts and all. And there were a lot of warts. This is a massive tome, so be prepared for a long read. Most of it is quite interesting; sometimes the minutiae and name-dropping gets a bit excessive. Otherwise, a revealing and well-researched biography

What a fantastic accomplish by Mary Dearborn. A gargantuan amount of research and well structured story lines should undoubtedly help this book win some accolades. Highly recommended.
