I watched the bonus material (interviews with director and actors). The key question is: Did Churchill oppose Operation Overlord? The movie people say he did. Other viewers say he did not, and that the whole movie is either inaccurate or a lie. When all is said and done, Churchill by 1943 was past his best, and he DID have Gallipolli on his conscience, so it would be fair to make a movie that claims he opposed the D-Day plans, and claim poetic licence. I thought the movie was well done, on a limited budget (the scenes with the troops are rather pitiful, though, as if this was a play for the theatre that morphed into a movie, but without enough money to pay more than a handful of extras.
