GREAT 1964 film adaption of Broadway stage hit. Not sure how I missed it all these years, but now I've seen it and truly enjoyed the performances of Audrey Hepburn at age 35 and Rex Harrison at 52. Lots of great staged scenes, especially the street cart dancing scene during 'Wouldn't It be Wonderful'. Got to give credit to singer Marni Nixon who did the fabulous actual singing which Audrey only mouthed; most looked okay, except during 'I Could Have Danced All Night' which was so off I noted it, not so much the others. Lots of terrific costuming - even that whacky HUGE hat Audrey wore during her ballroom debut (which is shown on DVD cover). So much to enjoy about this film - one of the best musicals ever! But I did find the romantic ending a little odd; guess they just had to wrap it up and this is what we got.
